Setting up exams properly in Tutelage Manager ensures accurate grading and seamless assessment management. Follow these steps to configure your exam system effectively.
Step 1: Access the Exam Manager
On the Admin Panel, navigate to Exam Manager and click on Exam.
This will display several options, including Exam Term, Exam Hall, Distribution, Exam Setup, Result Template, and Match Result Template.
Step 2: Add an Exam Term
Click on Exam Term and add the appropriate term for the exam.
This is a crucial step, as it determines the academic term under which the exam falls.
Step 3: Configure Exam Hall
Click on Exam Hall and enter the Hall Number and the Number of Seats.
The number of seats represents the number of students that can take the exam in that hall.
Step 4: Set Up Mark Distribution
Click on Distribution and define the exam mark structure.
For example, if you want to include First C.A, Second C.A, and Exams, add them here.
This ensures that the grading system aligns with your school’s assessment method.
Step 5: Create the Exam Timetable
Click on Exam Timetable, then select Add Timetable.
Choose the Exam Name, Class, and Section, then filter the results.
This step is essential, as it determines how students are graded based on the Pass Mark and Full Marks you set.
Step 6: Set Parameters for the Timetable
Configure the following fields:
Starting Date
Starting Time
Exam Duration (Minutes)
Hall Room
While these fields are not directly related to grading, they are important for scheduling.
Step 7: Define Marks and Pass Criteria
If you have set your Mark Distribution, it will now appear as fields such as 1st C.A, 2nd C.A, and Exams.
Enter the Full Marks and Pass Marks for each category.
Click Apply, and the system will automatically assign these parameters to all subjects for that class.
This is a critical step, as it enables teachers to input student marks correctly.
Step 8: Set Up Grading Criteria
Once the exam setup is complete, configure the Grading System to ensure proper evaluation of student performance.
Define grade ranges, letter grades, and remarks to standardize result processing.
By following these steps, you ensure that the exam system is correctly configured, allowing teachers to input marks seamlessly and ensuring accurate student assessment.
